The RISN Incubator, which launched in 2016, was the first program of its kind. Created through a partnership between Arizona State University and the city of Phoenix, the business accelerator is designed to support early stage startup companies that are taking direct aim at some of the biggest sustainability challenges across the globe.

As their second cohort of ventures were emerging from the program, the goal was to support them with gaining brand awareness, setting them up with a solid foundation of messaging, etc. over a relatively short time frame in the PR world –– 3 months. During that time we secured placement in Fast Company, InBusiness Magazine, Business Radio X, and Waste Dive. But perhaps more importantly, we worked to get these amazing ventures set up with the content assets and messaging they would need as they were out the world working to form new partnerships and secure new business in untapped markets.

Because of the complex nature of their innovations, we worked closely with each to develop infographics that visually displayed how each works and the impact their innovations have on communities and specific issues. These content assets are now being used as marketing tools to communicate their value as they have discussions with various municipalities, potential partners and other stakeholders.
